We hope you are enjoying AskAuntSue.com.
We have a confession to make. There is no Aunt Sue or Uncle Buck. We are
sorry to disappoint you. This site is operated by Chris Cowan, the proud father
of Eve and Charles. We live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Aunt Sue is a composite of all the folks who have been
helpful to us while raising our family. The midwife Celine, my
Aunt Betty, all the mother's at the local playgroup,
Remi, to mention a few... They all made a huge
difference to our experience and I want to thank them. I also
thank the Canadian government since their forward-thinking
policies allowed both my wife and I to spend time at home
raising our family. This was an enormous help and is reflected
in our children.
My wife Sarah has a BA in Psychology and I have a background in
Catering and now run a few websites.
I am a graduate of
Centennial
College’s Restaurant and Catering Management Program and worked in high end
hotels and resorts including:
The Granite Club,
Banff Springs
Rob Roy,
The Roof, Hotel Vancouver,
Marketing
at Blackcomb in Whister, and
Gray Rocks and
Tremblant.
I now operate a small 2 star chalet in Mont Tremblant,
MaisonVachon.
Throughout my career I was exposed to some of the best food available on the
planet; prepared in the finest methods. It rubbed off. I try and produce a menu
plan for my family that resembles that of a fine hotel.

People are always surprised at the quality of the food that I can prepare;
seemingly “from scratch”. They assume that I am going to a lot of trouble; when
in fact I am simply preparing another plate. My family is just another
catering gig; Full-American plan with snacks; and they don't tip !!!
I am using the training I received in the past to make a difference to the
future. I hope you enjoy the website and it inspires you to try something new.
Thanks for visiting

My advice to you:
Becoming a parent one of the most difficult and yet rewarding adventures
possible. Stable sleeping patterns and nutritious food can go a long way to
making your life more endurable. Seize the opportunity and make a difference
in your child's life from the ages 0-5. Don't do it for them; be selfish and
make that investment of time and effort; their success in life is directly
linked to your future prosperity.
* Love the one you're with. A happy family needs
2 parents.
* Everything is easy when you know how.
* It takes 10 years to become and expert at
anything.
* It's hard to burn anything at 300
degrees.
* Always be cutting AWAY from your hands.
* Kids remember what dreams and magic are all
about. Find your
OWN dreams; they exist if you want them to.
